The day was hot and so were the contestants. It was a first for the Chamber and a huge success. There were 27 participants, some pre-registered and others were walk-ins. A large crowd of their families, friends, chamber members and other local residents cheered them on.
On hand were reporters and photographers from the Trenton Times, Burlington County Times and Register News. Watch the papers for publicity and check the chamber website for more photos.
The event was a joint idea of the Chamber and Russ Ayres Hot Dogs, a new member. Russ Ayres contributed not only the hot dogs and word-of-mouth marketing but also other activities for the children. Thanks to owners Chris and Pam Baldassari and their staff for all their efforts.
I would also like to give special thanks to my committee members Lindsay McClellan of Concierge Club USA LLC, Chris Nunn from Roma Bank, Diane DiSpaldo of Feasters Fine Jewelry, and Myra Wille from HALO branded solutions for their help and assistance.
In the coming year, we are looking for ways to showcase members and involve not only the business community but the community as a whole. This I believe will benefit all businesses while focusing attention on what this area has to offer.
This is the core mission of the Chamber and it is what we on our Board work to do for our members. Let us help your business through our Annual Street Fair, our Hidden Treasures Calendar, our Website, our Business to Business Networking Events, our Business Expo and other special events.
If you have an idea for an event that your business would like to do just let us know. See you in September!
